Well, it happened today... Maddy (kinda) took her first step! Last week she stood up by herself for the first time and ever since then I've really been encouraging this new found skill. Up to this point she's been very unsure about it and as soon as she figures out she's flyin' solo she plops down on her toosh! Well today I stood her up and let go, she got a big smile of excitement on her face and actually stayed put for a long time. I sat in anticipation eagerly watching to see what she would do next. To my surprise instead of plopping down she actually picked one foot up and moved it forward! Ahhh!!! So cute! Well after she picked up her foot, balance was lost and down she went... but that counts as a first step right? ha ha, ok probably not, but we're so close!

I'm totally new to this, but you were my inspiration ;) I love your blog! I think it's going to be a great way to chronicle Maddy's little life...I got a late start but better late than never ;)
